The Snowbird Lever Handle is an excellent value. You can compare this door hardware at near twice the cost or more at other hardware retailers. We passed the saving on to you, offering this hardware at direct pricing. Give your new or existing home the luxury feel with lever handle hardware most often found in high end custom homes!

4 Available Functions:

Entrance Keyed Locks - Entrance levers have keyed cylinders and are generally used on exterior doors. We can key your levers alike. Just specify this in the comment field upon checkout. Levers handles do need to be the same brand to be keyed alike.

Bedroom and Bath Privacy Lever Handles - Privacy levers are generally used on bedrooms and baths. They are lockable but do not have a keyed cylinder. They can be unlocked with a generic tool that is provided

Hall and Closet Passage Lever Handles - Hall and Closet or Passage lever sets do not lock. They are generally used on closets or other doors where a lock is not required.

Single Dummy Lever Handles - Dummy door levers are just one lever that mounts through the back of the door with a single screw. This is the perfect solution for ball catch doors or other applications where a latch mechanism is not needed, but the look of a lever is desired. Dummy levers are used on doors that do not have a bore hole in them already. If your door is prepped with a bore hole, this function will not work.

Sure-Loc hardware is shipped with drive in latches on all interior functions and square corner attached mortise plates on keyed doorknobs and deadbolts.

I first met a Sure-Loc door hardware rep 4-5 yrs ago selling doorknobs to home builders out of the back of his Jeep. I remember being pretty impressed with the product considering the great price. At the time we were using a Schlage doorknob (because all the homebuilders use schlage right?). The door knobs we were using felt cheap and in my opinion looked cheaper. Polished brass was on the way out, but not everyone new it yet; I think Sure-Loc did. We immediatley started installing Sure-loc Hardware on all our homes.

The short of it: With Sure-loc you get a great knob in popular finishes for less than most other brands. Yes you can find a nicer doorknob, but probably not for the price. But you can surely find a worse knob for the same price. I've had homes with Wieser, Sure-loc and Schlage and the Sure-loc doorknobs held up just as well and cost me less - and they looked nicer. Look for higher end solid Sure-Loc hardware now available.

How to Determine Handing for Lever Handles

When ordering lever handles or handlesets, we'll need to know the handing of your door. Door handing is the direction in which your door swings. If you order the incorrect door handing you will either have locks on the wrong side of the door, levers that are upside down, or levers that point in the wrong direction and keep the door from closing properly.

Please refer to the illustration below to determine which handing your will need before ordering your door hardware.

Exception to the Rule: If you have a locking door that swings outward, you'll need to order your lever handle in the opposite handing so that the lock is on the correct side of the door.

Example: Fred has a patio door that he wants to install a locking lever handle on. Refering to the illustration to the right, he stands in the door and the door swings out to his right side. However, since Fred's door swings out onto his patio, rather than into his home, he'll need to order the opposite handing than he generally would so that the lock is on the correct side. So, Fred orders a left handed lever handle.

This same rule applies to doors that use privacy levers. If the door swings out of the room, order the opposite door handing so your lever handle has the lock on the right side.

You do not need to determine door handing when ordering doorknobs, deadbolts and even some levers that are non-handed. Any lever handles that need to have their handing indicated will have the option upon checking out.
